I am a little bit hazy on the details but it appears that the Mayan End of the World has disappointed, so I am rather hopeful that my HubPages traffic roller coaster is coming to the ascent stage. I’ve Experienced the HubPages Google Slap!
In the success-measured-in-pennies world of wannabe online money makers, my HubPages writing was coming along nicely. I was starting to get about 100 views a day, a few of my hubs were on the first page of Google SERPs for their (very uncompetitive keywords) and it seemed to me, that with more consistent writing, and some time for the hubs to mature, things would only get better. It appears I was desperately innocent and naive. A few days ago, I saw the HubPages Google Slap happen in realtime. My hubs are relegated to pages that are so far away that even I can’t be bothered to search for them. From having about 70 hits a day, to 5, if I am lucky. Continue reading
Only 42x worse than The Bloggess?
Views are pretty pathetic today, things usually slow down on weekends, but the weekend seems to be starting early. However, I did have two pieces of news that have cheered me up. Not of the order of, ‘hey you are actually making some money and you will be able to survive blogging and writing online’, nothing like that of course.
